The Gospel of Mark is the shortest of the canonical Gospels and has long held a somewhat mysterious place in biblical history. For one, it does not appear to have actually been written by Mark. And while it was once dismissed as a less important source for biblical scholars, it is now thought to be perhaps the oldest of the Gospels. So what does Mark tell us about the life of Jesus, who wrote it, and how does it compare to the other Gospels? Professor Dale B.
