In this talk, we will explore many types of concealed and light armors of the late medieval period. This topic is an important component of the study of medieval martial arts, but tends to get overshadowed by the study of plate armor and weapons. Through the study of survivals, artwork, text references, and modern replicas, we'll examine how medieval people created practical, flexible, and inconspicuous armor, and how their armor was shaped by their historical context.
