When I returned home from London the first thing I wanted to do was take my sister and my nieces to Afternoon Tea.. Tea time was my favorite activity while in England and it is still a part of my daily life in the States. I wanted them to have a truly authentic experience and a friend suggested Queen Mary Tea Room in Seattle. I did a bit of research and was very impressed with the owner and the menu so I booked us a day out in the city!! We were all very excited.

Beautiful towers of food began to arrive, as is expected with an afternoon tea : )

Delicious roasted vegetable quiche, a carrot ginger and coconut soup and a pork sausage roll..

My personal favorite, the mini sandwiches. An English cucumber with mint butter tea sandwich, a chicken almond with mustard butter tea sandwich and a smoked salmon mousse on rye. Each one was so tasty and unique..

Cranberry orange scone, zucchini tea bread and a chocolate pecan bar. The perfect treat for sipping tea..

Fresh fruit with chantilly cream, a ginger cookie and a chocolate pumpkin brownie. Plate after plate of food and it just kept getting better..

The fruit sorbet trio and shortbread was beautifully refreshing, served in a chilled glass.. I love little touches like that.

I wanted to be sure everyone had an amazing time and that there was plenty to eat so we also ordered the Kids Afternoon Tea which came with a kid friendly tower of treats. Grilled cheese tea sandwiches, cotton candy and fruit with a chocolate dipping sauce. The girls were very impressed : )

There is a bakery case at the front counter that is full of extra special treats, to order separately and take home, or to enjoy at your table. The girls noticed the huge meringue seashells when we had first arrived so we had to get one!!

Cheers to the Queen Mary Tea Room and the fantastic memories and family time. The food was amazing, the staff was welcoming and the owner even stopped by our table to say hi..The girls asked if she was the queen and I said yes and we all smiled. What a great day!!

I highly recommend the Afternoon Tea at the Queen Mary Tea Room, we will be back soon for sure.
