There has been a buzz around Tee Sud since they opened. I have been hearing about noodles made daily, fresh produce and locally made flatware for serving. The owner is said to be engaging and very enthusiastic about sharing his culture through authentic cuisine. I was excited to stop by and discover for myself the delicious food I had heard so much about. I was not disappointed! The owner was so friendly and offered interesting details about each dish. I must admit that I didn’t know what Thai broccoli was but he was more than happy to explain the difference. I feel like everything that I ate had a traditional and authentic touch.
To set the tone of the meal I ordered one of their signature drinks. A lemonade with hibiscus tea floating on top and a skewered honey comb. It was tart and sweet and refreshing. A very unique drink, beautiful and delicious…
Thai broccoli for an appetizer because I had never had it. It was a bit tough and the leaves were quite bitter but I always enjoy trying something new..
I love tumeric so I had to order the chicken. It was served with potatoes and made me feel very warm and cozy. The perfect fall dish…
A great way to get to know a Thai restaurant is the Pad Thai..This was by far the best I have ever had. When I asked the owner why it was so much better than other places he told me all about his noodle specifications and there are quite a few lol! The noodles were thin and silky, the perfect texture made for an incredible dish…
The other dish I was eager to try was the Himmapan Crispy Chicken. It was delicious! It was unbelievably crispy despite being covered in sauce. It was some kind of awesome food magic and I will be going back for more. The perfect amount of heat with sweet undertones…
As usual I was most excited for dessert. I have never had, or heard of, Kakigori but I was intrigued and had to try it. It was huge and beautiful. Thinly shaved ice, Thai tea and freeze dried strawberries. It was glorious! It instantly melted in my mouth, reminding me of ice cream . I thought it would be icy but it was very smooth and creamy. This is another menu item I will be ordering again…
My evening at Tee Sud was amazing and I can’t wait to go back. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. The staff was attentive and helpful. The owner was full of passion and joy and it really shows in his food. Now that I have visited I can see why they are currently the talk of the town : )
